teaching
I work in the UK and internationally, as a teacher on behalf of institutions and independently, sharing my developing choreographic practice.
For Akram Khan Company, I have led intensives programs sharing repertoire at Ecole de la Danse Montreal, Centre James Cárles Tolouse, Perth Moves Festival, Dance City Newcastle, LIPA Liverpool, and Riga Festival. In 2026 I was commissioned by the company to create a new work at Trinity Laban, London.
I have delivered international workshops exploring my own scores for movement and evolving physical language- at Perpetuum Mobile Festival Brussels, Taizhou, China (2024, produced by Global Universities Sponsorship Ltd), Sao Paulo (2024 & 2026: Co-led with Bianca Mikahil at En Dojo Studio), and Tokyo, Japan (2025, Co-led with Bianca Mikahil in partnership with KEY+Dance Tokyo).
In the UK, I teach ballet, contemporary and choreographic technique regularly for Rambert School, English National Ballet, London Children’s Ballet and the Acosta Dance Centre. I also teach professional class in London at various dance centres.
As an Associate Artist of English National Ballet, I have shared my choreographic practice through workshops with ENBYouth-Connect, ENBYouthCo, and ENB’s Parkinsons Performance Company. For the latter, I created an original piece, The Gift, on commission in 2026.
I strongly believe that the experience of movement belongs to everyone. Expanding access, challenging elitism, and working collaboratively with community groups to make movement accessible and valuable to any person is an essential part of my work as an artist- as someone who simultaneously moves in the circles of prestigious concert-hall dance performance and creation.
My work in community settings spans performing with Casson and Friends (ARCADE [2023-2026], The Dance We Made [2022-2025]), developing methods for training schoolteachers and dance leaders to deliver dance in non-industry settings (Making Moves- Sadlers Wells/Akram Khan Company [2026], Moving Stories, AKC [2024/6]), the development of Drawing Dance In Motion with Alice Angus, a live event that brings visual artists and dancers into creative collaboration, work in primary and secondary schools across England in ENB's Ballet Explored and Discover Creative Careers programs, and work with youth groups such as Hampshire Youth Dance Company, Rambert Schools ASPIRE and Boys Day programmes, and London City Ballet’s Development program.
I was a Dance Captain for the mass-movement event Strictly Wandsworth, choreographed by Jeanefer Jean Charles, MBE, in which I facilitated a range of dance groups, from community group to professional company, to create short pieces culminating in a 250-person live performance at Battersea Park in London.
“Curiosity is piqued by Harry's vigor, who encourages the group of participants, mostly young national performers, to express their bodies through movement. "Feel your skin, the pulse of your heart. Let go of tension, free yourself."
